Quickly fix outlook search not working

Outlook is the leading applicant which not only helps access your emails but also takes care of your meeting schedules, reminders, contacts, to-do list, and other important information. Without even realizing, we become so reliant on Outlook search that it can get very annoying when Outlook search not working. The Outlook Search option can also stop working.  

And here are some solutions and steps that might be helpful- 

First Run the Windows Search Troubleshooter  From here, pick Troubleshoot, go to Additional troubleshooters, then find and select the Search and indexing option, and click Run the troubleshooter. 

Second Rebuild the Outlook Index  There are two ways of doing this. Both are quick and usually work.

 Method 1: Use Programs and Features outlook mail search not working,

1. To rebuild the Outlook index when Outlook search isn't working: 

2. Type “control” into the Windows search bar and select the best match to open the Control Panel. 

3.   Head to Programs > Programs & Features. 

4. Scroll down and select Outlook 2019, Microsoft Office [your version], or Microsoft 365.

5. Now, select Change from the top menu. You can now choose Quick Repair or Online Repair, as highlighted in the image below. 

6. Finally, select Rebuild, and click OK. This might well take a moment. Restart your system.

Method2. Check Outlook Index Locations Open Outlook and head to File > Options > Search > Indexing Options. Select Modify from the Indexing Options panel. Make sure there is a check alongside Microsoft Outlook, then press OK. 

Method3. Fix Outlook search feature not working in outlook 

Using the Registry Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog. After that type  regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. Next, press Ctrl + F to open the search menu, then copy and paste the following registry key: Press OK, then restart your system. 

Method4.Update Microsoft Office 2019 if you update your office it can be the solution - Open Outlook. Go to File > Office Account (just Account for other Office programs). Check for the Update Options drop-down menu.  

Method 5. Repair Your Outlook Personal Folder File (.PST) Another option might be to repair your Outlook personal folder file (.PST) using the Inbox Repair tool. First, find the repair tool which has to be located in dependent on the outlook version. 

Method 6. Reinstall Outlook As a last resort, you can check doing reinstalling or uninstalling Microsoft Outlook. And some users report that this last resort finally fixed their Outlook search issues.
